Iconic early '70s Gibson Les Paul Custom.
Outstanding, vintage Gibson sound and a great investment opportunity. The serial number corresponds to a Les Paul Custom made between 1970 and 1972 and the pots date to the 11th week of 1972.
Originality:
The original Gibson Patent Sticker pickups are present and all soldering joints are pristine.
All electronics are original and in excellent working order.
Original hardware includes Tailpiece, bridge, 'Witch hat' controls and pickguard. For playability a modern Gotoh bridge is installed but the original is in the case.
A replacement set of Waffleback Kluson Deluxe tuners are currently fitted.
Guitar has also had a professional refret.
Condition:
The overall condition is good for a guitar of this age, with the usual signs of honest playwear and aging in all the right places. UV backlight confirms there is no damage, repairs or refinish.
Fresh from a professional setup, this guitar plays like a dream. The neck relief is perfectly set at 0.10 mm, the truss rod functions flawlessly and the intonation is spot-on. Plus, it’s strung with brand new strings and offers smooth, low action for effortless playability.
