Offered here is an exceptional original 1958 Fender Stratocaster, built in Fullerton during the heart of Leo Fender’s most influential pre-CBS years. This is a superb example from a period many regard as the definitive era of the Stratocaster.
Finished in a beautifully aged Three-Tone Sunburst, the original nitrocellulose lacquer has mellowed gracefully over decades, developing the kind of patina that simply cannot be replicated. Subtle lacquer checking, honest playwear, and rich colour depth give the guitar the unmistakable presence of a well-loved vintage instrument. The maple neck, shaped by hand rather than automation, feels alive, smooth and deeply familiar.
Sonically, the original black-bottom single-coil pickups deliver everything you’d expect from a late-’50s Strat: shimmering chime, warm lows, and a vocal midrange that sits effortlessly in a mix while still cutting through when needed.
