Fender Custom Shop '56 Reissue Stratocaster Relic John Cruz 2001
£2699.00
If you are not already familiar with the unmistakable truth that Fender Custom Shop guitars from the late 90s/early 00s are the best ever made, then you should be!
Back in 2001 when this beautiful guitar was built in Fender's Custom Shop, there was only a small team of builders, including legendary names such as John Page, Herbie Gastelum and several craftsmen who would later become Master Builders, including John Cruz, whose stamp this beautiful guitar bears. Many experts predict that in the not-too-distant future Fender Custom Shop guitars from this era will become highly collectible and increasingly valuable.
Finished in classic 2-Tone Sunburst over a stunning one-piece select ash body, this Time Machine Series '56 Stratocaster Relic perfectly captures the look, feel and tone of an original mid-1950s Strat. The comfortable 10/56 "V" profile, lightweight ash body and superb Custom '50s pickups combine to deliver everything you would expect from a top-tier Custom Shop instrument.
The relic work has aged beautifully over the last 25 years and the guitar plays and sounds every bit as good as it looks.
The sale includes the original tweed hard case, replacement Fender Custom Shop Certificate of Authenticity, and all case candy and accessories as pictured. The original COA was lost, and an official replacement was obtained directly from Fender Custom Shop in 2024.
